Historical stuff
I'm always wary of historical films as I start looking for mistakes and stop watching the film. Luckily I knew almost nothing of the period highlighted by the King's Speech so was simply able to enjoy the film. Go and see it for the performances alone-they are terrific!

Summer visits
Looking out of my classroom at Taverham and watching the sleet fall makes me hanker for the sound of leather on willow and the chance to visit some lovely historical sites. Much as I enjoyed our visit to Beeston's astro yesterday it proved winter is still very much here! It was freeeeezing!
All the places we are visiting next term will bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart! We are going to the magnificent Ely Cathedral where a warm welcome awaits our novice monks and also to Framlingham Castle to test our head for heights! Others are delving into the murky politics of the 15th century at the beautiful Oxburgh Hall and some are venturing further afield to the dramatic Castle Hedingham. Parents if you are looking for a day out all these places have the wow factor and are well worth a visit. Closer to home our younger children are visiting Norwich Castle this term. Come on sunshine!
